Maine Lobster Festival Coronation

Each year thousands flock to Midcoast Maine for the annual Maine Lobster Festival, which is hosted in Rockland, Maine. This year was the 67th annual celebration and it was another big success.

To kick off the festivities, the Maine Sea Goddess Coronation is held on the first day of the festival. Eighteen young women from the Midcoast area vie for the Sea Goddess crown, scholarships and prizes. The chosen Maine Sea Goddess then represents the Maine Lobster Festival, the lobster industry, and Rockland with appearances at events and associations throughout New England for the year. The winner receives a cash prize and the title of The Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess with a lovely crown.
